The big four
The Royal College has a Covid-19 Resource Hub, which includes a wide range of educational resources for remote consultations. These include ethical issues, vaccinations, managing long-term conditions and mental health. They are all delivered through a nice variety of articles, videos and podcasts.
The General Medical Council hasn’t been quick to release guidance on remote consultations, but it has provided us with some advice regarding consent and the appropriateness of consulting remotely.
The BMJ has kindly shared all of its resources on Covid-19 and remote consultations. This useful resource is updated regularly and includes all of the resources from BMJ learning and the Journal itself. Don’t worry though, when anything of particular importance is added we’ll let you know here.
Our colleagues at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence are working hard to update guidance regularly in these changing times. They’ve put guidance related to Covid-19 and remote consultations in one place. Again, we will check this for you and keep you informed.
